Insurance Overview

 

 


*All our delivery vehicles are covered by £30,000. all risks goods in transit insurance cover. (Per vehicle)
* Subject to a policy excess. Exemptions apply for certain goods and property. Please refer to our exemptions list or contact Nick Simpson on 01723 378051 to clarify your cover.

All insurances are subject to our own and our insurer's terms & conditions. All terms, conditions and requirements as listed in our insurer(s) goods in transit policy and our own terms and conditions are applicable at all times. We and our insurers reserve the right to appoint an investigator/assessor to investigate/evaluate any claims. 
You must ensure you keep all/any damaged goods/items until any assessor has inspected them. You must also agree to allow access to your premises/property at any reasonable time to carry out any such inspection. Please contact us to ascertain the cover details as listed in our policy. Certain types of goods are not insured, including cash, high value personal items, etc, nor will we knowingly carry such goods.

We do not insure against 'minor' abrasions/damage on second hand or unpackaged goods. Please ensure your goods are suitably packaged and that the packaging is suitable to protect the goods being sent. We will not automatically insure any goods that are not suitably packaged. For helpful advice on packaging please feel free to contact us.

Please also ensure you book and pay for the correct level of service to suit your goods. Please do not book our single driver transport service if the goods/items require a two man service to safely deliver them.
Please ensure you read our terms and conditions page on this website before booking your delivery. We will only insure your goods subject to our terms and conditions as listed on that page.

If you need a specific level of service, or insurance cover, outside of our normal/standard services please contact us to arrange appropriate cover. We will always confirm this cover by email/in writing. You do not have any form of advanced insurance cover unless confirmed by us in written/email form.

We reserve the right to alter, or remove this insurance cover without notice.

This cover applies to business users of our 'same day' courier service.

All goods values are based upon our insurers' valuations, if an agreed value can't be agreed between you and ourselves. As a company we may choose to pay you direct purely as a 'goodwill' gesture, if any reasonable agreement can be made. This however is in no way any admission of guilt or liability on our part and can be retracted at any time.

Seperate insurance cover is available for domestic customers. However only minimal cover may be applied to certain goods, especially pre-owned/second hand items. Some insurance cover may be chargeable and subject to seperate quotation - please ring for details. Insurance cover will not be based upon what you may have paid for any individual item(s), as that is what you were willing to pay and not the true value of any goods/items. So please always contact us for clarification on any insurance cover first.

All 'values' are subject to our insurers valuations. The insurers decision is final and as a guide only, will usually compensate for replacement product costs only.

We do not undertake 'white goods' (electrical/electronic products) deliveries for domestic customers. 

All deliveries are single driver/front door/ground floor delivery only unless a prior arrangement has been agreed in writing. As a courtesy drivers may help carry goods into premises but ONLY on a strictly uninsured/non liable basis.

Restrictive access and other prohibitive issues need to be mentioned on booking or the delivery will be kerbside and further surcharges may be added. 

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause genuine customers but these measures are necessary to protect our company from any potential dishonest activity.
